ABOUT US

We are the largest online supplier of succulents and cacti in the world.  We offer the largest variety of the healthiest and highest quality succulent and cactus plants. We are a favorite of collectors as we are responsible breeders and sellers of carefully researched, botanically correct, published, named cultivars and species of succulents and cactus. It is nonsense to rename tissue cultured plants with fabricated trademark names (unaccepted cultivar names) for identical, famous existing cultivars or species collected from nature. To rename existing plants or incorrectly identify plants, only creates confusion for collectors and the gardening industry.

WE VALUE YOUR LOYALTY. We are happy that we have a 20% returning customer rate. Besides adding value to your real estate investments in landscaping and improving your quality of life, collectors have found that there are decent investment possibilities of collecting and owning and reselling a private collection of exotic plants.   Many plants continue to increase in value and stand to increase more and more over time. Profits exist here.  A small Aloe can be bought for $10 and be sold 5 years later for $200 or more.  Rare plants can cost a lot up front because they are hard to propagate, are nearly extinct or very unpopular.  Adenium, Aloe, Agave, Euphorbia, Beaucarnea, other succulents and most cactus have great rates of return when they increase in size and become 'specimen plants.'

My favorite gardens to visit are Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, Quail Botanical Garden, Huntington Library and Botanical Garden, Lotusland, the Los Angeles Arboretum, the Sherman Library and Garden.

My favorite source of reliable information for cactus is "The New Cactus Lexicon." Reliable sources for succulent information are these sites- www.crassulaceae.net and www.crassulaceae.com. If a book does not have both plants and photos of its flowers, beware, or if the rosette does not have the flower attached to give you the right idea of the plant. Experts have told me that some recently hastily published books written by non-experts have misidentified species and misnamed cultivars. Also, choose any book by these reliable experts- Gordon Rowley, Helmet Regnat, Uhl or Tolken.
